This year’s MET Gala was “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion” there was everything from Timothee Chalamet in sweats to Ciara in a football jersey type gown paying tribute to her husband, NFL star Russell Wilson. The theme requires stars to represent the theme while maintaining the elegance of high fashion. I’m not sure if those two hit the mark.
While Ciara and Chalamet interpreted the American theme in a modern day sense, the below celebrities tapped into a more classic old Hollywood style. Billie Eilish chanelled Marilyn Monroe while Kendall Kenner wore a Givenchy gown inspired by Aubrey Hepburn.

I love your topic of inquiry! I normally no nothing about fashion, fancy events, and famous people. However…this still intrigued me and I was engaged the whole time thinking about my own critiques! I wonder what is your favourite style/look when it comes to these fancy events. Do you like extravagant or more formal calm and clean? I know there is more, but I always wonder what I would wear if I attended myself. Great post, I am excited to see more!!
