I am a ‘mature’ student (whatever that means – I think it refers to an individual who has had a previous career and decides to change direction, if that’s the case, well, that is me!) I have two teenagers daughters, a glorious fluffy dog, and a very supportive husband who is encouraging me to pursue my dream of becoming a teacher. I have worked as an Educational Assistant for the past 8 years. Predominantly, at George Jay Elementary in the intermediate grades. I loved it; but I wanted a change. After a few years of deliberating whether or not to take the plunge, here I am, a second year education student pursuing my goal of becoming a teacher and I couldn’t be happier!
Some of my favorite pass times are hiking with my glorious, fluffy dog, Florence, thrifting with my youngest daughter, listening to my oldest daughter play the flute and watching Netflix with my husband, Brett.
