I chose this inquiry because my Instagram feed was recently flooded by Met Gala posts. So, I asked my daughters, “Hey, what are all these Met Gala posts?” Their response was utter disbelief, “you don’t know what the Met Gala is?” Nope. I had no idea. So, here we are – an inquiry born.
Is it school related? No! But it does spark my interest and I do want to know what all the fuss is about. Yes! I want to dive deeper, to learn more and have a solid understanding about when this gala started, why is it so popular, how do you get invited and what’s with the crazy costume theme? These are questions one would follow in a school based inquiry project, I just happen to have chosen something frivolous.
